A Brief history of Jamaica. They say Jamaica's first inhabitants were the Tainos, anArawak-speaking people, believed to be originally from South America. The Tainos called the island “Xaymaca” meaning “land of wood and water”. These peaceful, seafaring people greeted Columbus when he first visited the island in 1494. Now it is 2017 and Jamaica is the island I now lives on, the island change from that time until this present time so many changes, and I am about start show my Island. "Jamaica" I will try to show images of my Island the and people that's now inhabit the land so stay tuned.
