Ajman, United Arab Emirates

I always enjoy a visit to Ajman. It is the smallest of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Where most people may want to venture out to the more well known, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I like to find my tranquility on the Ajman beach.

The weather is getting cooler now, so it should be nice to go again this winter with my family. It is still warm, but less extreme than the summer. There are some nice shade tents on the beach which enables us to keep ourselves protected from the strong sun.

It is nice just enjoy the sea. Very handy that there are some stalls to grab a tea for 1 dirham (20p).

We live in Sharjah, which is not too far away. We take the number 14 bus, which drives through some nice spots of the emirate. We will finally arrive at the Sharjah / Ajman border. Just a short walk and we are on the beach.

Early Friday morning is particularly a nice time to go. It is the beginning of the weekend (Friday and Saturday is the weekend in the UAE). It is quieter at this time and the traffic is not busy.

Other nice times to go, is in the evening to catch a glorious sunset.

These are pictures from last winter. I am looking forward to visiting again this winter, as my boy is now reached one year old.
