Every year, the most beautiful cities in the world are identified by several travel portals and travel magazines through a survey of their readers. Although each person has their own preferences and these additionally vary according to origin, income or experience, there is this more or less universal list of the most beautiful cities of the world. Surely everyone will miss their favorite city and for some people the composition of this list with the most beautiful cities in the world (in alphabetical order) will also provide some surprises. Europe is still very popular with its mature and mostly centuries-old cities, but Asia is becoming increasingly attractive. So Asia offers more and more alternatives to make a holdiday or citytrip especially China, Japan or Thailand. Nevertheless, many of the most beautiful cities of the world are in Europe.

Canale Grande in Venice, Italy
Always in the first places is, of course, Barcelona in Spain, the Catalan capital. With its miles of sandy beaches in the middle of the city it`s very attractive in summer. Not only countless sights, museums, squares, churches and cathedrals make Barcelona one of the most popular cities in Europe, but also the turbulent nightlife, the delicious specialties of Catalonia and the museums worth seeing (for example Picasso Museum). One highlight in Barcelona is the famous Sagrada Familia, one of the many works of the architect Antoni Gaudí, who has influenced the Spanish metropolis like no other architect. Even in winter, Barcelona is always worth a city break, which has the advantage that it is not so crowded around the most beautiful sights in the city. Hong Kong, China
The southern chinese metropolis of Hong Kong is my number 1. It is located in the Pearl River Delta and is made up of several districts and islands, including the main island of Hong Kong Island and the districts of Kowloon and New Territories, located on the mainland of China. In addition, more than 200 islands are part of the greater Hong Kong area, especially the larger and more populated islands of Lantau and Lamma Island. The center of Hong Kong with Hong Kong Central is located on the main island of Hong Kong Island and is home to some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. With so many attractions in Hong Kong rather difficult to choose from, a ride on one of the Star Ferry ferries across Victoria Harbor and a ride on the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak are memorable experiences that should not be missed. From the viewing platform on Victoria Peak, visitors can enjoy the view of one of the most beautiful skylines in the world.
