Found ruins of Mayan civilization pottery and human bones.

In the Yucatan Peninsula, tunnels and caves made naturally are submerged, and they are called Cenotes.

The project " Proyecto Gran Acuífero Maya " to investigate a huge underground cave found over 24 years and found that two huge inundated caves are connected deep inside Cenote.

This cave that became one was the world's largest one.

The diving team continued to dive in the two gigantic caves, Sac Actun, 263 km in length, and Dos Ojos 83 km in length and finally found these points of contact. A total length 347 km in total.

The Cenotes was once used by the Mayan as wells and springs, but it is believed that it was used in various rituals including sacrifice in the past. Therefore, the ruins of the Mayan civilization are full of the cenote.

The ties were found near the Tulum ruins of the Mayan civilization in Mexico. Until this discovery, the Ox Bel Ha 270 km cave on the south side of this ruins was thought to be the largest in the world.

Many human bones and clay pots etc of the Mayan were found in the underground cave, and it is telling us that this place was not submerged in the past. So it leads to valuable findings in cultural anthropology.

Guillermo de Anda says "This submerged cave is now archaeologically the most important place in the world. From hundreds of relics, we found evidence that those who built Maya culture were residents who first settled in the Americas and extinct animals."

The next goal of the team is to further investigate the water quality and biodiversity, and to plan a cave conservation plan as well.

This place is becoming an untouched ruin because it is submerged.
