Guess where did I land?
Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon
I call it the land of Pagodas. Magnificent isn't it? This is a sacred place for the locals and is truly amazing place to explore.
First meal of the day at Aung Thuka. Pretty good place to settle for some Burmese food with a wide variety of choices. Too bad there wasn't someone with me to share with.
After lunch, went to take the Yagon Circular Railyway. It's really cheap, only 20cents for the trip and it was an interesting way to experience the loca lifestyle. Most people on board were Burmese and there are people selling all sorts of fruits/food on board.
Some pictures of the view from the ride. The entire trip back to the starting point will take you about 3 hours to complete.
I only took half the ride as this wasn't the main highlight of my trip. The best is yet to come.
