Travel Diaries - #Throwback - Drummond Gardens of Scotland

One of the most beautiful garden that I have come across on our holiday to Scotland. This was not planned in our visit. We were staying in the highlands in Crieff and the lady at whose place we were out up, suggested us to visit this place. Overall I find the highlands of Scotland very mesmerizing. There is so much beauty around, and the time we visited, the weather was also very good. The highlands give you a good flavor of Scotland's real beauty. It was cold but not very, it was manageable. This Garden is located in Perthshire in a place called Muthill, which is around 4 Kms drive from Crieff.

Its ideally known as the Drummond Castle Gardens, the Castle is quite old, not sure exactly how but somewhere from 1600s. Scotland is full of Castles, we visited a few and could witness some old history and traditions. Drummond garden has been built up over a period of time but in 19th century it got it's full shape what we see today. The Garden is perfectly trimmed and everything looks perfect here. There are variety of flowers and plants in the garden and you will see the some Peacocks too.
If you stand at the entrance of the Garden, you almost get a bird's eye view of the whole garden. You can see its a very beautifully manicured garden.

We had spent quite some time in the garden enjoying the nature's beauty.

There were couple of Peacocks and they were so near to us. This one looked like a poser :-)

There was a nursery in the garden. Such beautiful flowers, some of them I had not seen or heard of,

After spending a good amount of time at the Garden, we went back to our cottage.
The views on the way were breathtaking.

I am so much missing my Travels, I keep looking at the pictures and think about the wonderful times we had and the memories we made. Travelling is one of the most beautiful experience of life.
