Travel Diaries - Visiting the Athirapally Waterfalls in Kerala

in travel •  5 years ago

No doubt Kerala is one of the most scenic places to visit in India. It's also known as God's own country due to its picturesque landscapes. There are so many places to marvel in this place. The backwaters, Tea Gardens, Waterfalls, Bird sanctuary, Spice village, the scenic lush green mountains and so much more, all of these are mesmerizing. Not to forget the Kerala traditional massage which is world famous. Also the roots of Ayurvedic Medicine lie here in Kerala. Kerala is famous for getting the best quality spices. I have visited this place twice and I feel like coming here again and again.

So today let me take you to the Athirapally Waterfalls. Kerala has many waterfalls, the rainfall here is good and hence these waterfalls are cascading around the year giving scintillating views and also offering as a day excursion spot. This waterfall was on our way to Munnar in Sholayar forest ranges. These falls truly portrays the magnificence of nature.

As we got closer to the falls we were almost drenched as the water was gushing down in full force. It felt like we almost had a bath.

On the other side of the fall was this view, just so enchanting.

I am feeling so nostalgic looking at this picture and missing my hubby's presence. Waiting for him to be hail and hearty again to continue with our holidays.
