❓What's your favourite temple or shrine in Kyoto?
✔️We visited over 15 Shrines and Temples in the Kyoto area. You would think you would get bored of them, but they are all different in a way and have their own wonders!
✔️Kinkaku-Ji "The Temploe of the Golden Pavilion" - Formally known as Rokuonji, is a somptuous Zen temple covered in golf leaf.
✔️The temple grounds are a photographers paradise as the beautiful temple mirrors on the pond and the neat gardens have beautiful greens.
✔️The temple burned down several times through its history with the most recent time in 1950 by a fanatic 22y monk. The temple was then rebuilt in 1955.
✔️The temple is easily accessible by the City bus. And just a note about how amazing Kyoto buses are...They are always on time, on the dot! Never failed, it's pretty fascinating when used to buses that sometimes don't even show up!

❓Quel est votre temple ou sanctuaire préféré à Kyoto?
✔️Nous avons visité plus de 15 temples et sanctuaires dans la région de Kyoto. On pourrait penser qu'on s'en lasse, mais pas vraiment! Ils sont tous différent à leur façon et ont tous leurs merveilles.
✔️Kinkaku-ji "Le Temple du Pavilion d'or" - officiellement appelé Rokuon-ji, est un temple Zen dont les deux étages supérieur sont recouverts de feuille d'or.
✔️L'enceinte du temple est un paradis pour les photographes! Le temple doré se reflète sur le bassin qui l'entoure, et les couleurs vertes des jardins sont magnifiques.
✔️Le temple a été brulé et reconstruit plusieurs fois dans son histoire, avec la plus récente reconstruction en 1955 après qu'un moine fanatique l'ait brulé en 1950.
✔️Le bus est le meilleur moyen pour se rendre au temple. A ce propos le système de bus de Kyoto est incroyable, toujours à l'heure, à la minute près! On vous met au défi de trouver un bus en retard!

Kyomizudera is beautiful too! It has nice views over Kyoto! We also liked very much the aqueduc area where it's all covered in moss
