Travel Diary: Jeju Island 2018, Day 2 (Seopjikoji Hill & Korean Style Small Cottage Dinner) Part 4

in travel •  6 years ago  (edited)

Introduction

Seongsan Ilchulbong is indeed one powerful place that you NEED TO VISIT once in a lifetime, therefore I've allocated a post for it. Besides, Seopjikoji hill would be the second hill for today, so it would be better to separate them as 2 posts!

Day 2 Itinerary

Hotel RegentMarine Jeju Breakfast Buffet (Part 1)
Gimnyeong Yacht Tour (Part 1)
Seongeup Folk Village (Part 2)
Lunch @ 옛정의골식당 (Part 2)
Jeju Tangerine Farm (Part 2)
Seongsan Ilchulbong (Part 3)
Seopjikoji (Part 4)
Dinner @ 별내리는정원 (Stars Fall Garden) (Part 4)

Seopjikoji Hill

According to Korea Tourism Organization, Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju Island. We reached here during the evening, but the sunset view isn't that pretty due to the cloudy weather. It is said that Seopjikoji was the filming site of many Korean TV dramas. I think I would be lucky to get the director to film me while I am there.

Canola Flowers

It has the best scenery of yellow canola flowers in their full bloom state in the month of April. You'll be the judge, what do you think of these flowers here by looking at these photos below.

Ugly Truth

Tourists being tourists, the more the number of people, the higher the damage. The canola field is actually quite empty as people are stepping their way to the middle just for Instagram purposes. Critical Session, what do you think that we as a Tourist should do to ensure the area is kept in good condition?

Hyeopja Beacon Fire Station

On top of the hill (more walking), there's Hyeopja Beacon Fire Station. I did not go further once I was in the canola field because I was exhausted. But, if you like a good view for everything, maybe it's fun to have more fun up there.

Dinner @ Star Fall Garden

Address: 4219 Jungsangandong-ro, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju-do, South Korea

This portion can be shared with 4 people and above! Chicken, Carrot, star-shaped Rice Cake, Glass noodles, Potatoes, Cabbage and sesame seed mixed in a big flat pan. Good to eat it warm if not you'll start to get stuffed with the taste and the portion. This place can only be reached by own transport.

Looks like you had a great time here! I like your captured images.

Critical Session, what do you think that we as a Tourist should do to ensure the area is kept in good condition?

I think the answer here would be not stepping into the plants and just follow what should be done as a normal tourist :)

What can be seen in the fire station?

Most of the photos are taken by a photographer :D His name is William but he is not in Steemit.

For your answer, I guess we all should start focusing on Not to do anything just for the "Gram", although it's picture worthy.

Nothing I guess. Most probably The sea view.

Yes, and to add to that, appreciation is something that we must do in every destination we go. :)

Wow... Jeju has so much to offer... I thought Jeju is a tourist trap and the reason why Air Asia flies to Jeju is because Tony Fernandez's wife is from Korea... I wish to go there someday and you'll be my tour guide and model

2 weeks confirm can settle whole Jeju Island, 3 days isn't enough, sigh. And I've checked the flight, flight range is like myr500-myr3000. Crazy range of price.

I am planning to go to the Philipines hopefully next year, and to meet @johnarvee12 if possible :p

I assume that RM500 is for low season when weather is either very cold/hot or maybe too windy/rainy while RM3000 is peak season when weather is perfect

Oh.. who is johnavee12??

Lovely landscape views, and the canola flowers are beautiful! The food looks delicious, too! Thanks for sharing this adventure with #steemitbloggers 😊
