Hi there,
as the weather was good last weekend, we decided to make a trip to a lake. As we have been to Attersee, Mondsee, Traunsee, Wolfgangsee etc. very often, it was time for something new!
Gleinkersee is a mountain lake, quite big for its kind, in the vicinity of Windischgarsten.
The lake is around 600 meters long and 400 meters wide. Its depth is 20 to 25 meters with one exception, where it reaches 125 meters!
Even though it is a mountain lake, the water is warmer than in most other huge lakes in the area. When we were there it had ~23 °C.
If you don‘t like swimming in the emeraldgreen water, you can rent a boat, hike around the lake or try the amazing restaurant right next to it. I would recommend that to everyone visiting, not only the non-swimmers, btw ;)
Restaurant Seebauer with a camping site next to it
Organic, locally produced food - really good!
Barefoot parkour
The pictures were taken with my mobile phone camera so I think we will come back with my Canon one day :)
Thanks for reading!
nice story my friend
