Kaptai is an upazila of Rangamati district. The main attraction here is the Kaptai Lake. Kaptai Lake is an artificial lake in the Rangamati district of the Chittagong Hill Tracts region of Bangladesh.
For the Karnafuli water power plant, in 1956, when the Kaptai dam was constructed on the Karnafuli river, 54 thousand acres of agricultural land in Rangamati district was submerged and this lake was created.
Kaptai is an ideal place to visit in a day. Here you can visit Shahid Moazzem Ghati which is a wonderful beautiful under the control of the Navy.
