How To Cross the border from Lao to Cambodia with a motorbike

Hi Steemers,

Today I would like to share a story that happened to me 3 weeks ago. I wanted to cross the border between Lao and Cambodia with my Vietnamese motorbike. See below the border i am talking about.

Its called "Veun Kham/ Dom Kralor" also known as Stung Treng Border Crossing Station on google maps.

BUT...
I was not able to cross that border because of one guy (officer at the border gate) telling me that I could not do that with my motorbike. "There are too much motorbikes from Vietnam in Cambodia you are not welcome". I did not want trouble so I decided to go back to Pakse to get a Visa for Vietnam and try to cross the border from there.

If it happens to you do not panick! Go to the Vietnam Consulate, it will deliver a visa in 3/4days. I paid 50/60$ for a three month visa, one month visa was the same price.

Then, cross the border to Vietnam at this point :"Cua khau quoc te bo y" as shown on the picture below.

LAST STEP, FROM VIETNAM TO CAMBODIA
You will need to drive two days in order to get to the last border. You will need to pay a visa like 20$ and the border guys will let you in without any trouble.

I hope it will help people...
