i had the luxury of finding my lost cat after a year! she never ran away after we found her again. Now she is an indoor-outdoor cat, running around and everywhere!

      My first cat did that a few times during her life. She was half-feral anyways and the great matriarch of all the cats at my home. One of her many sons also disappeared for 13 months or so.

        I guess we can't keep those cats, they are free and unpredictable.
