Wow that's an extremely pretty place. Actually I notice a lot of villages like this around Amsterdam. Places like Aalsmeer etc. Even Alkmaar has pretty streets.

Was there much to do in Marken apart from taking some nice shots?

    It's quit small and there were some tourist attractions but you really go there to walk around and see the picturesque houses and harbour. I think it takes about 2 hours to walk around the whole island.
