Bridge Luis I (Oporto - World Heritage Site)

It is a bridge of metallic structure constituted by two trays that connects the cities of V.N.Gaia and Oporto (separated by the Douro river).
With an arc of 172 meters, the upper board has a length of 392 meters and the lower one has a length of 174 meters in length.

Its construction began in the year of 1881 by the company "Societé Willebreck" and was finished in 1887.

The Luis I bridge is an ex-libris of the city of Oporto and has been listed as a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO since 1996.
