I know it is probably the most cliche city to quote when talking about travel but if the shoe fits....
I have a good life but stepping back and being able to take in all the world has to offer can be difficult between the 9 to 5er, my wife, my kid, fixing up the house, you know the usual rundown we hear everyday. And I am generally happy with my everyday. I live to see my little girl run from the kitchen screaming Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! and receiving a great big hug before being dragged to the coolest toy of the hour while sneaking in a quick kiss from my wife as I quickly walk past her on the way to the toy room. I am proud to say she many times chooses the cars I occasionally buy for her when I see them at the grocery store. I have a good job, if not one I love, and a beautiful wife, who I very much love. We own a house in Southern California, spend the weekends with friends, and are fairly well traveled. It is a good life. But sometimes you have those experiences and realize how profoundly those experiences could improve the lives of the people you care about. Paris was just such a trip.
It is in fact that trip that, in a round about fashion, led to me finding Steemit. That may seem a bit far fetched but I assure you it is true. It is that trip a few months ago that reinvigorated my desire to explore the possibilities of a life lived without boundaries. To make that kind of life possible it would be necessary change the way we are living now, i.e. finding the freedom to break through the boundaries surrounding us. I want my daughter to run up to me at the base of Notre Dame one day and them read her a story on the coast of Italy that night, only to set sail the moment she awakes. I want my wife to give me that kiss as we step into a gondola making its way through the corridors of Venice. In short, I am somewhat of a dreamer. Not a dreamer in the sense that I forget about whats right in front of me, but rather constantly imagining what could be right in front of me. Because of that longing I sometimes search for connections or opportunities to talk about and pursue my aspirations. In one of those reveries thinking of what could be I stumbled upon a story about this site. Five o'clock hadn't rolled around yet so I had to make a note and stick it in my wallet. For some reason I knew I did not want to forget this one. After both my ladies fell asleep early I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. It seems to be filled with people who want to feel the freedom of no boundaries and see the world through the clear lens of a mind focused on the past, present, and future. Most people, including myself, have to concentrate so hard on the present it is easy to forget to reminisce and learn form our past and incorporate what we learn into an exciting future. It is my hope I continue to interact with all the dreamers on here and maybe, just maybe, someday my reality will become the dream.
I plan to write a blog on our experiences in Paris. A great deal of the story has already been written. A few pictures will be included but I would say my main goal is to paint a picture with my words both to entertain you as well as remind me why I want to continue to dream. I hope to be talking with you soon and eventually be writing my stories while they are happening. Cheers and I look forward to talking with you.
In your post, maybe you can include image to catch attention. I used steemimg.com to host my pics and link them in my post. Check my latest post:
