Whilst learning about 7 wonders of the world in school, I had a dream to see these most wonderful momuments. I was really facinated with this idea of visiting each of them. Travelling has always been my passion to experience different cultures, eat different regional food and meet many people... These are 7 on my list:-
- Eiffle Tower
- Taj Mahal
- Statue of Liberty
- Roman Colloseum
- Leaning Tower of Pisa
- Egyptian Pyramids
- Great Wall of China
I am fortunate to complete the first 3 wonders.
Eiffle Tower
I had seen Eiffle Tower about million times on tele but nothing compares to seeing it in person. My friend Laila from Brazil accompanied me to Paris, we youngsters then took a tour bus from Germany to Paris... I was just like a kid on Christmas day unwrapping my gift under Christmas tree. And that moment arrived when we could see the tall beauty dazzling in lights. We did not dare walking the 647 steps until the second floor.. We took the elevator and there we were right at the top of Eiffel Tower. A beautiful memory I still cherish..
Taj Mahal the epitome of love.. people say you should visit Taj Mahal with the one you love... it was so peaceful there, the minute detailed art work and skill done on marble is unexplainable. The reflecting water and the tall trees completed postcard scenery I'll never forget. The Taj Mahal incorporates both Persian and Mughal architecture using white marble with semi precious stones. Shahjahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his wife, Mumtaz symbolising his love for her. My friends from England accompanied me to witness the epitome of love.
After visiting Taj Mahal I was wondering which wonder to visit and during the waiting period I reunited with my school mate who is the prince of life now:) and in my journey to see the wonders he was happy to join me. We dediced to visit The Statue of Liberty. Reaching Statue of Liberty was an experience.. We thought we were late in catching the ferry as our taxi dropped us further away then the usual taxi spot. We ran like there was no tomorrow and somehow we made it in time. Everyone had to go through security check before the ferry ride to the Staute. Finally we both were in the ferry enjoying the waters and the glimpse of the Statue from far was exciting.. When we reached the Statue of Liberty which was standing tall in front of us was a breathing taking moment....
We are on a mission to complete the rest of wonders in the coming years...
