Albania is special to me as it's not only the home country of my beloved wife, but also a place that greatly reminds me of my home: crowded streets, populous cafes, loud and friendly people, but above all its rich history.
Gjergj Kastrioti, known as Skënderbeu , is with no doubt Albania's most famous King and Hero (here is a brief history about that Legend https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skanderbeg).
A large square in the middle of Tirana holds his name wherein a huge statue of him riding his horse can be seen from a distance.

The Et'hem Bey Mosque is an 18th-century mosque located next to the square. With its complex architecture and neighboring Clock tower (Kulla e Sahatit), it represent a unique touristic attraction that you can't miss. (more info can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clock_Tower,_Tirana)
