Beau Vallon, Mahe, Seychelles.
If I were to ask anyone this question most people would say they also loved tropical islands. Ever since I can remember they have fascinated me. Maybe it’s because I don’t live in a tropical environment so the idea of balmy hot days lazing on some pristine beach with an umbrella drink in my hand creates an idyllic picture in my mind!
Anse A La Mouche, Mahe.
When I think of an island in a tropical sea I associate it with being on holiday without a care in the world, being totally relaxed and enjoying every minute of life. It is so different from the daily life at home with all the stress that goes on around us. It always fills my mind with pleasant thoughts and romance!

When we can afford it my wife and I love to escape to the beautiful Seychelles islands for a week or two. There we unwind by spending time together swimming or snorkelling at a secluded beach on Mahe. Sometimes we hire a car and explore the island, or hop across to neighbouring Praslin and La Digue by ferry. The Seychellois are wonderful people and their Creole food is a must to sample at the many restaurants to be found everywhere.
