The Ruins of Oslob Cuartel: Cebu's Rich History - A Philippine Blog 1.0

Dear Reader,

I'm a blogger by profession and a traveler by heart. I often tend to travel to extreme places on earth where there is life no matter how dirty nor infamous the place is. Remember, life is beauty, hence, if there is life, beauty always persists.

A few weeks ago, I've traveled to various cities and regions in the Visayas region of the Philippines. I've stumbled in Oslob, Cebu which is famous for its whale shark watching encounter wherein you can actually swim and see them a few meters away from your naked eye.

However, what caught my attention in Oslob are not the whale sharks nor the famous rain-like waterfalls within the area, but the rich history that Oslob has to offer. I've visited the place called Cuartel Oslob and in this place, you can basically see preserved buildings and landmarks which were built centuries ago. Amidst time, climate change and increasing population, this place still stood before time and visualizes the rich history of the town itself.

I appreciate the efforts exerted by the town's government and people in preserving this place. Photos below are some of the pictures I've taken during my visit:
