5 Must Visit Places In Ukraine

Ukraine -

a country in Eastern Europe, bordered by even 7 countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Moldova. It also borders two seas: Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Well known for it's past history, but not really known of it's beauty. In this post I'll try to highlight most remarkable places of Ukraine from my point of the view.

Kiev

The capital of Ukraine. City rich with incredibly wonderful churches and it also has a calm, nice, atmospheric old town. Besides having beautiful looks, it is also considered as one of the safest cities because of it's new law (or something like that) policy. And if talking about art, I can say that Kiev is an amazing option for both - spectators and creators. Inspiration is guaranteed.

Chernobyl

The famous disaster area now often used by adventure seeking tourists. Completely abandoned city lets photographers try a different style and for adventurers it's a good source of adrenaline. Although the accident happened more than 30 years ago, it's still really risky to visit it without any protective gear.

Bugski Guard National Park

Fascinating canyons (Dniester Canyon - the most famous one) and gorgeous river passing through. Not really a place to be described, but a place to be felt and experienced.

Lutsk

Really unique city of Ukraine. I, myself, especially love the contrast between medieval buildings and quickly growing street art. Even if you're not on a season time, you can still easily enjoy the castle and sights. One of my friends that have been there really recommends visiting cafes if you're a fan of a coffee. Atmosphere everywhere is really cozy and it fits perfectly with tasty coffee.

The Pink Lake

Awesome natural beauty located in the Grygorivka village, Kherson Region. It got it's purple color from percentage of sea salt (it's about 35%) and an incredible amount of sulphur. If you're interested and/or planning to visit it and want to avoid big crowds, I would recommend you visiting it in late spring or early autumn. Also, there is one downside, you'll probably wont be able to visit it without a personal car.
