There are many amazing countries and places I wish to visit one day! So, I made a travel bucket list for myself to remind myself that traveling is a wonderful thing. While I mostly post about creative things and poetry I also have a deep passion for exploring the world. Because I am fighting against agoraphobia it's hard for me to follow my heart and see all these amazing spots with my own eyes. Maybe that is also the reason I love to connect with people all over the world and see the world through their eyes.
Dreaming is amazing but these dreams I want to come true.
This is part one of my personal travel bucket list!

The Son Doong Cave in Vietnam.
I always had a deep love for caves. There is a magical feeling that stirs my mind when I dream about walking into a cave. Not knowing what lies behind the rocks and dark paths you have to travel! One of the caves I really want to see is the Son Doong Cave in Vietnam. This cave is so massive that a 747 could fly through its largest cavern! How amazing is that? It's said that you will wonder if you are still on the same planet when you are inside! Foreign landscapes you will not find anywhere else. Stalagmites and stalactites so big you think you are seeing aliens! A jungle inside the cave including misty clouds to seal the deal! I need to see this cave because I want to feel the surreal magical feeling inside my heart and soul!
I would love to see the ancient fossils to see the history this cave holds, touch something so old it must be millions of years in age! I want to feel the rush of cool wind while exploring the magic beyond the opening to the cave!

This cave is only recently explored in 2009-2010 by the British Cave Research Association, the cave has only been open to the public since 2013. To me that makes it even more special. Knowing not many souls have traveled the paths in this cave! They say this is the biggest cave on this planet! ( Maybe they will find even larger ones in the future. Son Doong is large enough to house an entire New York City block, complete with 40 story skyscrapers! That is HUGE! 5km long, with sections reaching up to 200m tall and 125m wide! The Son Doong kicked the Deer cave in Malaysia from the first place!

To reach the cave you have to pass through the Ban Doong village! This is the only village located inside the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Nationale park! There are not even 40 people living in that village! Life is tough for the minority people here, due to their isolation from the outside world. Access is only possible by foot, and the dense jungles surrounding Ban Doong prohibit the cultivation of most crops. The extra income is a most welcome change for the community! Not only would I love to see the cave but I would love to just stay in that village for a few weeks and live among the people who live there 24/7. To see and learn about their lives! This would be the cherry on top of my trip there!

For now this amazing spot is just a dream on my travel bucket list and I wonder how long it will take me to really get there! All I know is I will one day see this magic with my own eyes!
I also wonder if any Steemian has already seen this place? If so, please share your feelings and stories!

It would be fun for sure! Mostly I like the hidden part of it. You can't see what is inside the cave and it makes me wonder. The magical feeling inside a cave as if you are no longer at the same planet... I love caves, even small ones!

True that and I am going to make sure these dreams will come true one way or the other! These were the best pictures I could find of the cave online! Some showed even more beauty but bad bad quality.
