I was fortunate enough to head down to Busselton, or "Busso" yesterday and the Margaret River region. I sell lab gear so we get to visit laboratories all over Australia. We managed to see some good food and beverage labs yesterday, and do a quick bit of sight seeing.
Busselton is renowned for its 2km long jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the world. I'd love to run it, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time for that yesterday. But I did manage to get a few happy snaps.
The beaches are beautiful in Western Australia. It's just a little too cool to be swimming at this time of year!
I also got the opportunity to visit a friend who lives on a farm down this way. He's raising some lambs & cattle. Here's some photos of the animals.
It really is a beautiful part of the world, South Western Australia. Especially so at the moment, it's really green after a particularly rainy wet season, and the wildflowers are starting to come out for spring. I must come back here with the family and spend some time exploring the area.
The southwest corner of WA is something special, especially when spring gets into full swing. So much tondo down there.
The jetty has a pretty cool observatory. You go downstairs and loom look out the windows into the world under the water. Really cool to visit.
It would make an awesome family holiday for you and the fam down in Margaret River.

I went to this jetty one morning in July 2002. It was cloudy and drizzling. I saw a boy and his father fishing on the jetty edge. The jetty looked different back then. That's how I remember Busselton.

That's cool @putu300. Did you get a chance to walk to the end?
