The Maharaja of Tripura first dharmanikya excavated this pond in 1458. Its the main purpose was to prevent the water from people of the region. According to the Rajmala texts, Maharaja lived for 32 years in1431-1462.His name is DharmaSagor, after the name of Maharaja Dharmanikya.

Currently, the area of the DharmaSagor is 23:18 acres.It is formerly the Comilla stadium and district school, in the northern part of the city corporation uddan and the deputy commissioner's office. This pond is considered as an entertainment centre near Comilla townships. There are huge crowds every day to celebrate the holiday here.Besides, the religion of the whole country is famous.In the north corner of the cottage of the the queen, puro park.There is provision for sitting on the west side.The arrival of turists without the local residents.The row of green trees in the pond, the Dharmasagor has given different status.
Tamralipi was provided during the sacrifice of Dharmasagor.
Transportation System:Highway102km, Rail road 212km.Many people come here everyday to travel.There are lot of public holidays on any holiday.Lots pf a larrge number of foreign turist to travel comes.The Capital of Bangladesh is not too far away from Dhaka, only for 2 hours. It is applicaple for road transport.
