Went for a walk on a sunny day in Florida. Desoto National Memorial.
It was Saturday morning and they have free Kayak tour at 9 am. Little that we know that it was booked for the whole year. But even with out the Kayak it was a fun experience.
De Soto has many thing to offer: Rich history(https://www.nps.gov/deso/learn/historyculture/index.htm) , Great view, Nature and it a great trail. You can bring your now chair and relax under the tree or go for a swim.
As you enter the park you find your self on a very beautiful parking area. Its a wide open area. It has trees with moss on them and looks very picturesque.
As we were getting ready first sign of wild life. My poor camera couldn't capture it as it was moving and very small.
De sota lets travel back in time May 1539 Where I assume these men were hairy and smelly. :)
The walking trail was amazing as well. Very beautiful but have to warn you guys there were mosquitos out there. So keep moving or carry a spray of insect repellent. Wait for the next image to load its a GIF image and it takes a while to load its a bridge path to the water.
Here are some additional pictures that details the indigenous people and how they came to be which I thought was a true story.

I just checked your post. I'm following you already. :) I am very close to Fort Myers about 45 mins drive. I plane to go on a Trip to Grand boa in about 2 weeks time. Have you been?
