Well guys I’m still here in Spain. Weather great for this time of year, so great it would be a crying shame to waste the opportunity of eating Christmas dinner alfresco.
Because our rented apartment has no oven it was not going to stop us from stuffing our bellies this Christmas day. We decided to buy a cooked chicken and gammon slices for the festive meats. Vegetables included, sprouts, broccoli, mashed carrot without the turnip, that is, because we couldn’t find one in Benidorm anywhere, roast potatoes done crispy in a deep fat frying pan, peas, sweetcorn and gravy.
What could possibly spoil this beautiful day!
I need you to try and imagine the setting. You’re out on the balcony under the warm Spanish sun with not a drop of rain in sight. The round white plastic table has been laid boasting china plates, cutlery polished to the max, red and green napkins, condiments of every sort, crackers to pull, and chocolate gateaux for afters.

You should have just switched chairs with your husband and made him look at it, and had your back to that scenery. C'mon lady, your on vacation but you surely didn't leave your common sense back in the UK.

Hi @sultnpapper and Happy Christmas to you. That picture is not the actual building that blocks the most beautiful view of La Cal beach from my balcony. As for common sense I don't think I had any in the beginning, because if I had, I would be sunning myself somewhere in Barbados and not Benidorm-- and without the hubby hehe Take care @racykacy

@joalex thats exactly the building I refer too i this post. I can honestly say you would pay a fortune for my apartment had that not been there, as the whole of the cove I would be able to see. Maybe one day something will be done with it. I pray pulled down. Take care ~racykacy

Don´t worry, just try using the tag #spanish only when you are posting in the language. Your post is about spain so perhaps instead of spanish, try using #spain. Cheers
