Wonderful pictures. A nice place to dwell in your mind. My daughter and granddaughter are just returning today from a very peaceful vacation in Curacao. Tried snorkeling for the first time and were entranced by the experience. My daughter is reluctant to come back :)

Your bang on the money agmoore. I'm writing these travel posts in a series atm for exactly that reason, to escape in memory while the boredom of this treatment lasts.

Curacao looks nice, I've never been to Cyprus but have been to Greece when I was younger.
I never wanted to leave Mexico Yucatan... It had everything I love in life. Reefs for diving, beaches for lazing, jungle for exploring and ancient ruins for story inspiration. I'm gonna be doing at least 2 more in this series and have some more decent pictures of that trip yet to come 😉🙂

Yes, it really was a great trip... I just had to go slower than usual.
There's more to come @kaerpediem. Part 2 and 3 are still to come which include; the Aztec temples and beautiful beaches of Tulum... And my final excursion from the backpacking adventure.... Snorkeling with whalesharks 😉

I'm pretty much 100% he couldn't scuba dive because of his extremely complicated medical condition... but snorkeling on a reef is more likely as a possibility to experience the underwater world.
If I ever make it to the Philippines I would definitely want to visit him to say hello, and help make snorkeling a reality if possible 🙂

I am waiting for a change of government in my country.

My dream would be make enough from crypto just to afford to set up a little beach bar somewhere in the Caribbean and then live simply, spearfishing on the reef for dinner and bbq-ing fish in palm leaves with coconut milk fresh from the tree.... One day maybe 😉

It was indeed a great backpacking trip. this is only the first of a series about my wanderings in Mexico. I'm going to be writing at least 2 more posts about that trip.
Yeah, if my current treatment works and I ever get to go travelling again the first thing on my list of purchases is a GoPro which generally take very good underwater footage. If ya like the underwater stuff check out this poetry reading and short film I made with footage from an earlier trip in Egypt with the same camera that broke in mexico.

What beautiful pictures and memories! That is the same area we traveled to last month. It’s really stunning. It was hot enough in March; I’m not sure I would want to to travel any closer to summer. But it sounds like overall you did really well and navigated heat and dietary changes in spite of your health challenges! I hope you get to return to scuba diving soon, @raj808.

Ha ha, yep it was a little too hot. I was there until early June and by the end of the trip the great was too much for me. I'd have got used to it with a few more weeks in Mexico but it knocked me out with the fatigue.
I'm gonna be writing a few more travel blog posts about this trip with Part 2 and 3 including the Aztec temples and beautiful beaches of Tulum, freediving at cenotes, ... And my final excursion from the backpacking adventure.... Snorkeling with whalesharks 😉
