এই জায়গাটি আমার অনেক প্রিয়। চট্টগ্রামের কয়েকটি রাস্তার সংযোগ স্থল টাইগার পাস। এখানকার রাস্তার দু পাশে উঁচু পাহাড়। সুনিবিড় ছায়াঘেরা একটি চত্বর। চট্টগ্রামের প্রকৃত সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে হলে অবশ্যই টাইগার পাস আসতে হবে এবং বাটালি পাহাড়ে উঠতে হবে।
কোন এক সময় সেখানে দিন-দুপুরে বাঘ চলাফেরা করতো এবং মানুষ ও গরু ছাগল মারত। দিন-দুপুরেও নাকি বাঘের গর্জণ শোনা যেত। বর্তমানে চট্টগ্রাম শহরে টাইগার পাসে তো দূরের কথা রাঙ্গামাটি বান্দরবানের মত দূর্গম বনাঞ্চলেও এখন অার বাঘ নাই। শুধুমাত্র চট্টগ্রামের কিংবদন্তি হয়ে বেঁচে অাছে টাইগার পাসের কাহিনী।
