I don't know about you, but I look at the past as "Good old times." Since I work as a television editor and colorist on national Croatian television, I am often in a position to encounter interesting video clips taken long before I was born.
This is Ban Jelacic square, the main square of Zagreb. Nobody wasn't ecstatic about ecological issues. See how many cars and trucks drive around the square! And in the present, there is no cars, but there are a lot of advertisements ....
The following clip shows the Stock Exchange square and I immediately saw in the old record something that is rarely seen in modern Croatia. The Red Star, a symbol of Yugoslavia and its leader Tito. For me he was a legend!
At present there is no room for the star, because Croats see the past in a specific way.
I love the past, but I rather look to the future!
