Reposting Content - So Few are So Sensitive

This is still an interesting topic. Sorry I missed it when you posted. The 7-day payout limit has always been a challenge here. Some random thoughts:

  • I notice that some of the facebook pages I follow also repost articles from years ago, so it's not just Steemit.
  • I don't really have a problem with it, within limits. Although - as a curator - if I notice reposts from an account, I generally adjust my voting percentage down a little, especially if previous versions were rewarded well.
  • There used to be a thing called, "Showcase Sunday" (or something like that) where people would get decent upvotes on Sundays for reposts of high-quality articles that had underperformed in the past. Not sure if anyone is still supporting that. Maybe @whatsup knows.
  • It would be helpful for curators if authors labeled reposts and linked back to the originals.
  • Maybe someone should launch a moderated community that's dedicated to reposts of attractive content.

On another note, did you ever get an answer to your question in another post about exchanges for Americans? You can try ionomy.com, steemscan.com, or simpleswap.io to convert to something like BTC, LTC, or ETH, and transfer from there to one of the American exchanges to cash out. Same process in reverse, to buy.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

Show case Sunday was started by NoNamesLefttoUse. He's not around anymore.

As for repeating content I don't have an issue, it seems like the right thing to do to mention it is a repeat and why you think it is relevant ... People can vote or not!
