The only time I ever skied was in Banff. I took lessons there, and my instructor was originally a surfer from Australia. I guess it was around 1995, or so.
My favorite part of that trip was dog-sledding. If you get a chance to try that out, I definitely recommend it. Just don't wear western style boots with slippery soles (I speak from experience😉).

We're hoping to be able to ski, but since we're in seven we'll have to divide ourselves between who's gonna take lessons and try out while the others do something else, because it's not cheap nor the priority of all of us... The dog-sledding really took my attention, tomorrow we return to Banff and I'll ask around about it!! (and I've already bought ew Columbia boots with special soles hehe)
