I visited Porsgrunn many times. But this time I was very excited that I have found a statue of Thai King. He has visited Brevik for a long time ago. My friend, she told me and drove me to this place. I took some photos and have some information to share with you on this post.
สวัสดีชาวไทยทุกคนค่ะ โรสได้มีโอกาสไปสักการะพระบรมรูปพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ร.๕ ของเราชาวไทย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ที่หมู่บ้านเบรวิค เมืองพอสเกริ่น ประเทศนอร์เวย์มาเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ จึงได้ถ่ายรูปมาฝากทุกคนค่ะ
King Chulalongkorn was a Thai King of Siam from 1868 to 1910 and belonged the Chakri dynasty. He was visited Brevik 28 July 1907. He came to Brevik with his yacht. After arrived he went with horse and carriage through Brevik streets. He has enjoyed sightseeing in the town and the nice weather here.
พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวได้เสด็จเยือนเบรวิคเมื่อวันที่ 28 กรกฏาคม พ.ศ. 2450. พระองค์ทรงเสด็จมาที่เมืองนี้โดยเรือยอร์จและได้ทรงม้าเที่ยวชมเมืองในวันที่อากาศแจ่มใสไม่หนาวมาก เป็นที่พอพระทัยเป็นอย่างยิ่ง และได้รับการต้อนรับจากชาวเมืองเบรวิคเป็นอย่างดีด้วยค่ะ
The Thai government set up a statue of him in Brevik in 2010, thanks for the attention Breviks population had shown the king and his country. There are many Thai people in Norway who know about him come to visit the King Chulalongkorn statue often.
เพื่อเป็นการขอบคุณชาวนอร์เวย์และชาวเมืองเบรวิคที่ทรงต้อนรับพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว พระมหากษัตริย์ไทยแห่งราชวงค์จักรีเป็นอย่างดี รัฐบาลไทยจึงได้ทรงพระบรมรูปของพระองค์ไว้ที่เมืองเบรวิคเพื่อรำลึกถึงท่าน ชาวไทยที่อาศัยอยุ่ที่เมืองเบรวิคและเมืองอื่นๆใกล้เคียงที่ทราบเรื่องนี้ได้พากันนำดอกไม้มาถวายสักการะบูชาพระองค์อยู่บ่อยๆค่ะ ช่างเป็นอะไรที่ประทับใจ่จริงๆค่ะ
