We stopped near this river for the night. In general, on the way to Baikal, we always slept in a tent, but on the way back we decided not to risk and sleep in the car. All the same, we live in Russia and there are bears (so typical!). Especially in Siberia and the Far east. And the more so we stopped in the wild deserted places. In the local Internet, there are periodic articles about attacks of bears on people. It was necessary to sleep from the very beginning only in the car, but our brother was traveling with us and he slept in the car. And on the way back we went with my husband alone and were able to sleep in the car

On the way back to Yakutsk, 150 km from Chita, a big lake was seen from the road. On the map it was designated as Sodovoye (Doroninskoe) lake (Soda lake). It was evening, it began to get dark, but we decided to reach him. Part of the way passed on foot. We thought to bathe, but confused by the slimy water, and still the lack of living creatures around. We decided not to get into the water, and it got dark. Already at home we learned from the Internet that it's a nature monument, the largest soda lake in Eastern Siberia. Previously, soda was extracted here. The water is salty, contains many minerals, at the bottom of the silt, containing aluminum and iron. Water can be useful for some skin diseases. Sorry didn't swim :-(

Near Neryungri we saw a fox on the road. She even ran after the car while we stopped. Of course, we fed her with bread. We gave her a little bread and she came very close. Then the truck-driver stopped and threw a huge piece of sausage to the fox. Of course she grabbed him and ran away, we didn't see her again. The moral: if you see a fox, do not throw a big chunk of food

Travel expenses:
Gasoline - 370 $ ( about 6500 km)
Food for 2 people - 150$ for about 2 weeks
Sleeping bag - 37$
There were no other costs, the car didn't break.

After this trip we began to dream about traveling by car, it's great, not at all on the plane. So many landscapes and beautiful places can be seen! Feeling of freedom, when you have an endless road ahead of you, and you can go and go ... And I don't even care where.
