Bandipur lies in between kathmandu and pokhara,this place is one of my favorite place . this place is a small newar (a caste in nepal)town .this place was a trading centre in the past.Bandipur bazaar is situated above the highway town of Dumre, and presents history, architecture, incredible views, awesome caves and unspoiled landscapes.This place Located at an altitude of 1,030 m, This place is believed as a natural view tower, which provides a spectacular panorama of the entire Annapurna Range. Also peaks of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Langtang are much appreciated from the place. the Marsyangdi valley which is below 500 m flows river marsyangdi.You will love the stunning views of the Himalaya and the Marsyangdi Valley, visit to the town is an opportunity to observe closely at Newar cultural life which reflects the refined civilization of the capital city kathmandu.the view from bandipur adventure camp.

FESTIVALS
As with Newar towns various jatras like Khadga Jatra (October) and Bisket Jatra (April) are widely celebrated. Magars celebrate the full moon day of Baisakh Purnima (April) ,in this festival unmarried women perform Ghatu dance while married women sings the songs. The sorathi and Chutka are some other popular dances in this place.
