Kukke Subramanya is a temple town in the district of Sullia. It is a beautiful place situated in the Western Ghats. People visit the temple to pray to Lord Subramanya.
How to reach Kukke
If you are coming by train from the north, you can alight at Mangalore railway station and catch a bus to Kukke.
If you are coming from Kerala side, alight at Kasargode railway station and board a bus to Sullia and then from there take a bus to Kukke. Those who have a problem with traveling on a hairpin road should not even attempt this route as it consists only of hairpin bends.
There are many hotels near the bus stand attuned to all kinds of budgets. The town is always full of visitors, so book hotel rooms to avoid being stranded.
The temple is very beautiful and is a feast for those who love ancient architectural wonders.
One can easily travel to other destinations like Mangalore and from there to famous temples nearby.
Note: take some carry bags to the temple in case you want to take home Prasad. The nearby shops do not sell plastic bags.

Very nice information about Kukke Subramanya Temple @sayee. Being from Karnataka, I like this article very much. There is a strong belief that if you have sarpa dosha (wrath of the Serpent God in previous birth) will be cured by performing pooja (act of showing reverence to a god, a spirit, or another aspect of the divine through invocations, prayers, songs, and rituals) in Kukke Subramanya Temple.
