Uluwehi Falls or more commonly know as Secret Falls is a just a quick paddle and muddy jungle hike away. Rent a kayak right on the Wailua river and kayak about 1.5 miles up the river where you drop off kayak on the riverbank. Then just follow. the trail. This trail gets very muddy and is slippery and steep in places. Wear solid shoes or go barefoot, this is definitely a no go trail for flip flops. You have to cross several streams and the entire river at one point, the current in the river is quite strong so hold on to the rope and be careful. The hike takes about 45 minutes through the jungle and ends right at the falls. Bring some food and go for a swim, just remember don't feed the animals!
