Hey pushkarg@ the shoreline is frozen and has a pancake like formation. The sand part of the lake is covered with ice pebbles and stones. I am not sure how this happens though. Yes, each national park is different from the other. :)

Yes.they are mounds of ice and you can even walk on them be sure to wear cleats :) this is in lake Michigan and is really beautiful :)
