Bill Gate was formally recognise as the world richest man with a net worth of $89bn USD. Bill Gate, the CEO of Micro-Soft who has been notable for his altruistic charitable behaviour has just been made number 2 richest in the world after Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon became number 1 richest man in the world with a milestone net worth of $105.1 bn USD.
According to Bloomberg's billionaire tracker and forbes, Jeff reached this history Net-worth on monday 8th january.
Jeff saw this dramatic increase in his net-worth as a result of his holdings in the Washington Post and Blue Origin, a private space travel business that intends to take tourists to space.
Bill Gate is now worth $91.9 billion according to Forbes, and $93.3 billion by Bloomberg. That's still enough to keep the No. 2 spot on both lists of richest people.
However, Gates is believed to worth more than Bezos if not for his significant charitable contributions. Bloomberg said its analysis of his publicly disclosed donations shows that Gates has given away 700 million shares of Microsoft, worth $61.8 billion at today's value, as well as $2.9 billion in cash, which would put his net worth over $150 billion.
Will Bill get back first and how soon will that be? Many financial magazines are predicting Bills to get back on top in less than 3months.
