21 Days In Japan - A Dream Come True

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to travel to Japan. Being exposed to Anime and Manga at a young age, I saw popular spots in Japan recreated in these graphic novels. I told myself that I would eventually visit the ever so famous Gilco Running Man along Dotonburi Canal and cross the chaotic but at the same time organised Shibuya Crossing.

I'm Seran Yeo, 24 years of age and currently living in Singapore. In 2016 December, I finally saved up enough to embark on this dream trip of mine that I have been looking forward to since I was a kid. Kristen (my girlfriend) and I planned a 21 day trip around Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Yokohama. We plotted out all the hot spots to go to in great detail before embarking on this trip. We even booked our flight tickets 9 months in advance! (That's really early for a last minute couple like us)

This trip meant a great deal to me, so I also acquired a camera (Sony A6300) to bring along with me to the trip so I could document these 21 days. I managed to create a short video a day for the first five days of my trip which you can find at https://www.instagram.com/seranyeo/ (do scroll down cause I posted these videos awhile back). At the same time I edited a longer version to remember the sights and sounds that Japan had granted me while I was there. You can find the video below:

This 21 day Japan trip also sparked off my passion to create travel videos. I want to capture the beauty of the amazing destinations the world has to offer. I want people to travel to these countries and experience the culture I experienced when I was there.

Thank you for reading and feel free to ask me any questions about my video or Japan trip. I hope this post inspires you to travel to Japan! And this ends my first post on Steemit woohoo.

I'll do my best to bring more of my travel experiences over to Steemit.

Cheers!

Seran Yeo

Amazing video that really wants to make you yearn to travel to Japan. What with the face mask with people there? Is it that polluted?

Thank you! It is a gorgeous country with rich culture and really nice people! Some of them are sick and just don't wish to spread their germs around and some are because they don't wish to get sick. I wore them because the cold winds can really be quite chilly for me and I have a sensitive nose!

Ok, I always seem to see that in Asian countries, via my trusty old TV, lol.

Amazing ! It's almost like we experience it with you..l great job!

Thank you! Glad I could bring everyone on a trip through my video 😁

Woahhh!! Such an amazing video you created there! Love the shots, transitions, and the audio just got me captivated! It makes me feel like packing my bags now, and just go on an adventure around Japan!!

Once again great work! Hope to see more amazing videos from you in future! ;)

Thanks! Appreicate the compliments 😁 Will do my best to upload more content!
