Climbing a Mountain (2251m / 7385ft) in the Alps + Live Music on the Summit :D / full trip report

Hey fellow Steemians !

I want to share with you, my latest trip in to the Alps :)

With me was my cousin @urko - hes always ready to go on a adventure :) . Our destination was Turska gora (2251m / 7385ft), in the Kamnik Savinja Alps, Slovenia, which is well known for its breathtaking views of surrounding peeks . So again it makes it a perfect place to shoot my videos :D

So lets start with the video i made on the top :

We started our mission a day before the actual climb to save some time . @urko picked me up at around 7 PM and we had about an hour and a half of driving to Logar valley, which is belived to be one of the most beautiful Alpine glacial valleys in Europe . We parked our car as it was slowly gettin dark, and started hiking . After an hour we reached our campning spot for the night , the sun has set, and i took some photos before going to sleep.

We woke up at 3:30 AM , ate some food and started hikinkg in the dark with our headlamps on . Not long after that it slowly started getting brighter :)

The peaks got some morning light on them aswell :) For the first hour the trail led us up this scree slope,

and meanwhile we enjoyed the sunrise :)

Then we reached the most exciting part of the ascent, Turski zleb, a couloir that leads almost to the top of Turska gora . Here is where the fun starts :) , even though the climbing route is secured by steel cables it still gets the adrenalin pumpin :D 20170719_052222.jpg

Top of the couloir is perhaps the trickiest part, it is steep (45-55 degrees), there are no more steel cables, and the trail gets washed away by land slides and avalanches every year.

You really need to be carefull on this kind of climbing routes, take it slow and be focused and composed with every move u make.
After about an hour we finnaly reached the top of the couloir, from where we only had 25 min of hiking to the summit . We reached it at 7 AM and enjoyed the morning views :

The weather was great, a bit windy , but we still spent two hours on top, had some breakfast enjoyed the views, and i shot my video :D

The only thing left was to get down safely throug the couloir, and have a diserved cold beer at the local mountain hut :D

I hope you enjoyed this trip report, definetly more to come !

Wow! That was spectacular I bet. Your photography is awesome too. If there is a UPS store near you see if they can print some of those. Especially the one with the sunrise. We did that when we got back from a trip to Canada and it just pulls you back to that memory. Again thanks for sharing and look forward to see more posts! Keep it up!

Ive been thinking about printing a panoramic shot for my wall, never didit tho, maybe i will now :)

Thanks for all the kind words, stay tuned for more ;)

Lovely! Gave you a follow? Where did you get the finger drum? How hard is it to learn it? I always wanted to start playing with one of those...

Google : Native Instruments, maschine mikro .
You need to start slow and get to know the software, and get used to the pads.
It definetly helps if you are playing an instrument , i played bass guitar before i started finger drumming, so that made it a bit easier for me to learn :)
Hope this helps, if you have some more questions , feel free to ask. ;)

Awesome. Gonna check it. Maybe we have some finger drumming ios apps as well to stsrt practicing?
