There is more to Singapore!

We all have our unforgettable firsts...Most of them really are one for the books.First crush.First boyfriend. First Kiss and the list goes on.

I want to reminisce my first solo trip abroad 8 years ago.A trip to a place which makes me wanna go back over and over again. SINGAPORE, the Lion City.I have been to this country thrice but I still wanna go back cause I feel that there is really more to Singapore.

I arrived a quarter before midnight, kinda late, but the beauty of the airport did not fail my sleepy eyes. It was huge, clean and tourist friendly. I took the cab and to my amazement, the driver took me to the address that was just written on a piece of paper. I was a little bit surprised when the driver said I can swipe my credit card if I don't have Singaporean dollars. Whoa!

The next day, since I am really going gaga with branded shoes and bags, I went off to check the long line of shopping malls in this small country. I went to China town, Eon Mall, Takashimaya, Vivo City, Suntec City, Bugis St. and of course, the home of many Filipinos, the Lucky Plaza. I was disappointed with the prices of the items. It was quite high.

I did not for some reasons visited during the Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, the zoos and gardens. These sites are for my next trip to SG. Instead, I visited Clark Quay and Sentosa Island. It was a wise decision after all for a 3 days 2 nights trip.

Sentosa Island really has a lot to offer to first time tourists of this country . The Merlion Walk, Siloso beach and of course who would miss the Universal Studios?

My last and final day was spent trying out the sumptuous, delectable and unbelievably delicious Singaporean cuisine such as the chili crab, satay and chicken wings.

My feet were sore but I relaxed in a place I couldn't even remember, a place where I found this koi garden. Seeing the beautiful fishes was so calming.

After two months I visited this country again and hopped to Malaysia where I had my most unforgettable travel experience to date.

Will tell you more about it in my next blogpost.
