Dogsledding in Colorado Mountains

in travel •  5 years ago

Hello Steemians

Many of us live in areas without snow and dogs which pull humans on sleds, aka sled dogs. It is quite an experience to leave your warm tropical island and travel to snow covered mountains.

But it’s a very interesting to meet people who live in the mountains all year long. Their lives are dictated by the climate, weather and elevation. The environment was cold, but the people were mostly warm and friendly. I wish I had a dollar for each time people looked at my Aloha attire common in Hawaii and asked me where I was from! It was universal that when I said I was from Hawaii, that the next statement was also “Ehy are you here?”

It’s so beautiful to look at the snowy mountains, but very cold!

This looks like an amazing experience! We had heavy snow relatively close to our hometown in South Africa last year but no sledding unfortunately. Would love to try it one day. Love the images. Thanks for sharing this. Sorry I am not able to upvote your post as my VP is currently on the beach recharging the batteries after some hectic upvoting shenanigans. It will hopefully be fully recovered by Monday. 🙄😊
