I'm realizing that the best way to learn a new language is immersion. I studied Mandarin all throughout college, for four years, four years ago. I let myself run out of practice, and determined that I need to turn back towards making progress.
I currently use Duolingo to stay fresh. It's not much, but at least I hear a native tongue daily and help myself read, hear and speak. Now, I'm also reading as many Mandarin writers on Steemit as possible. It's been a great opportunity to flex my reading strength, and catch up with some great Steemians who could really help my practice. I hope if you're reading this, you may be able to share some tips for me, other ways to immerse myself in a language I have little to no background with.
