Traveling to Thailand 🇹🇭 | ATV Adventure + Big Buddha Statue

After our Christmas Celebration in Mauritius we decided that it was time to switch to another location for New Year's.
Mauritius has been amazing - beautiful nature, perfect weather, gorgeous beaches, and of course some successful business meetings.

So where was our next destination going to be? 🌎✈️

One of my favorite countries to travel to ... THAILAND !

Thailand has something to offer for everybody :

Stunning beaches on the islands, beautiful nature in the forests and mountains, great food, good infrastructure, and lots of entertainment (cinemas, shops and more).
The people are very kind and the tropical environment is ideal to work.

We arrived in Thailand just in time for New Year's Eve.

First, we watched the fireworks over the beach on the terrace of our apartment, and then went out to the famous Bangla Road.

On January 1st, it was actually @soldier's birthday. After some delicious lunch, we went to our main activity for the day:

RIDING ATV IN THE MOUNTAINS!

Quads and ATVs are similar to motorbikes, but with 4 wheels. They are made to race through extreme conditions like mountains, bumpy roads, forests and more.
Basically, it's a ton of fun riding them!

The ATVs are quite easy to control, fast, and have powerful motors.
We started our ride through some steep hills and narrow passages in the forest, before driving up the mountain on a long, curvy road.

At the end of the road was one of the main sights in Phuket: the BIG BUDDHA.

The statue is 45m tall and made from white marble.
It is located at the peak of mount Nagakerd, overlooking the whole southern part of phuket island with all its beautiful beaches and cities.

Unfortunately the sun had already set when we arrived, but the view was still breathtaking.

The statue itself was so majestic and the whole area had a great vibe about it.
The panorama view over the city was absolutely stunning - especially with all the city lights!

After visiting the Buddha statue, we went back on our ATVs and continued the night ride through the forest.

The way back was even more fun since it was almost completely dark - an awesome adventure!

We had a great time on our mountain adventure, riding the ATVs and visiting the huge marble Buddha.
