Preparing my Worldtrip - My Packing List for 6 months of travel through SEA and OC

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

The last couple of weeks I have been arranging and collecting all kinds of stuff for my travels and my list is finally complete!

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to y'all! Boy, it is hard to narrow everything down to just a couple of shirts in which you have to wander around for six months. Well, you can always throw it away, but still..

The search is hard to find something which you are not too emotionally attached to so you can throw it away, but yet is still amazing and super comfy to wear. And aren't your most comfortable clothes always your favorites?

This is basically most of the stuff I will pack, excluding my toothbrush (as I am still using it) and adapters, phone etc. Yes, I know I probably have too many shirts, but I really like shirts and it gives me the option to mix and match a lot, as well as throw them out when I am not using it. I selected my shirts specifically on lightweight and I feel like I kinda managed :D

travel makes us as busy as possible,

You can survive nuclear attack with that :P

I am not sure about that! Hahaha, but that would be a nice extra, yes xd

Hahaha, good one 👌

You are missing one big item, dont tell me you are going with out a Cam :)
I guess you are all set. Glad you chose the Adidas terrex. And how about a small multipurpose Swiss knife (might come handy) and may be some band aids/first aid.

Aah, yes I am! But that's why I bought a new phonehttps://steemit.com/technology/@sjennon/innovative-adventures-unboxing-my-new-samsung-s8-my-first-impression)! I love it's camera!

And yeah. theyre super light :) Have been walking on them past week to make them a bit softer and adjust properly to my feet.

Not sure about a swiss knife, it's definitely a good idea though! Might buy that when I get there :)

Yeah S8 is great phone, I use S7edge now and love the camera. Now a days I end up taking more photos on it and take dslr only for those landscapes / portraits. And the fact the these phones are water proof ,you can take some under water photo as well - not too deep. I have tried bunch of times without any issues. Those shoes really helps will keep you safe and comfy !

S7 isn't that old either! I absolutely adore the camera - way better than my One Plus X.

I haven't gotten the balls yet to drown my phone, but I am looking forward to the moment I do, haha.

Thanks for your reply, man!

ha ha initially even I was hesitant . First I tried in my kitchen pipe , then pool , then out door :) Those beaches in Thailand would be a best place to try :) But then dont take risk if you don't have a backup and also on a new phone. You enjoy and Keep us posted !

All the best for your trip!

Namaste bhai!

It's a good start for your world trip! Enjoy and have fun<3

Thank you! Let's see what is different at the end of the 6 months :D

The list looks quite well done! One question is how will you manage souvenirs? You'll inevitably end up picking them up. And which all countries do you plan to go to in South East Asia?

Probably going to send them back home as soon as I buy them!

I am going here:

Thailand (End January - February)
Malaysia (March)
Indonesia (April)
New Zealand (End April - Mid May)
Australia (Mid May - End June)
United States of America (July - Mid July)
Home? India? Neverland?

Have you been to any of those? :D

You can read more about my plan this post I did the other day!

Malaysia yes, with @firepower last October! I am planning for Thailand this year, not sure when, but waiting for a certain calender to come out. My plan is to do some scuba diving certification as well.

I am curious about Neverland. ;)

If you come to India, come by! We will do a roadtrip through some amazing places :)

I'll check out your other post!

Aah, you were there with him? :D I met him right after in Lisbon!

Scuba diving sounds awesome eventhough I've never tried it. To me, it always just sounds super expensive, haha.

Neverland is at the second star to the right and straight until morning! ;D

I will sure let you know! I am pretty sure we will do a meetup! @firepower @things @wandereronwheels @varunpinto :D

Thanks man!

Also, I think I've been following you for a lil bit with my Steepshot account: @shenkie. Great to see you here though!

Yup, he came to steemfest from Malaysia!

Scuba diving is awesome. You've to try it once! And in places like Thailand it's quite cheap compared to Europe.

Yup, a meetup for sure. Or maybe at steemfest this year. Never know ;)

Thanks for the follow. I follow both your accounts.

Btw, are you German or Dutch?

Good

Have an enjoyable and safe trip! Looks like my feed's gonna get filled with pics and videos of the journey in the upcoming days!
PS: Mosquito repellent cream!

I hope so! That would be great haha :D Hope to post as much as I can still.

Yes, for sure. That's DEET actually!
