If you ever find yourself in Costa Rica, I highly recommend visiting the town/area of Uvita, Costa Rica.
In the town of Uvita, Costa Rica, within the Marino Ballena National park, there is a beach that holds the sky in it's sands. Never have I heard a beach play such a beautiful song of solitude, and never have I seen the ocean water paint the beach in such a way. It was as if the ocean welcomed us by laying out a carpet of liquid glass. Guiding us to the perfect spot. Allowing us to walk the mirror's edge, our feet stepping through shallow clouds and puddles of blue sky. The ocean water was so warm and inviting that even the sky steps down from the heavens to enjoy a dip in the salty blue bath. With palm trees lining the beach, and miles of open sand, it truly felt like the sea and the sky let us in on their personal secret spot.
What made it even better was the solar paneled helado (ice cream) cart waiting for us at the entrance. Blue skies, white clouds, green palms, open beach, salty air, warm sand, shaded earth, and ice cream.
