This is one of the cleanest Bonneville salt flat race vehicles I’ve ever seen.
This truck is a 1954 Chevrolet that has a Duramax diesel motor with quad turbos in a dual compound configuration in the bed. The turbos feed a water to air intercooler in the very tail of the bed along with a coolant tank. The boost pressure of the turbos can get up to around 100 psi. The land speed vehicles naturally want the weight up front to stabilize the vehicle at speed. Whenever possible, the vehicles are front wheel drive to put the traction where the weight is. In a truck like this, front wheel drive is not possible. The large coolant tanks in the very rear of the truck would naturally help get weight on the rear wheels to aid in traction on the salt. To get the max out of the intercoolers, The coolant tanks are packed with ice.
This truck is so clean, you can eat off every part of it. Just look at all that chrome. The owners even went to the extreme to put lexan cover over the back half of the bed. The truck had a solid run at 202 MPH, but over the speed week, the record was pushed to over 230 MPH by another vehicle. However, this truck is hands-down the cleanest race vehicle.

Woow that car so old, but I tell you that my grandfather when he was young he drove The 1934 Ford (the Model 40B)
smaller head lights and cowl lamps, and a reworked logo. The bare metal dash insert was replaced by painted steel 85 hp (63 kW), and the four-cylinder Model B
Deluxes had pinstriping, twin (chromed) horns, and twin back lights. Inside, they got more elaborate wood graining.
Thanks for sharing
