On this occasion I will explore a mosque at the entrance of the north Aceh, precisely in Panton Labu - Aceh. Its name is Masjid Raya Pase. In the historical record of Aceh, the mosque was founded in 1972 on the initiative of a prominent public figure named Muhammad Ansari, often called Harun Kumis. He went to Jakarta to meet President Sokarno and asked that in the former kingdom of SamudraPasai established a mosque that will be the pride of the local community and become a symbol of the glorious history of SamudraPasai.

Pada kesempatan kali ini, saya mau mengexplor sebuah mesjid yang berada tepat di pintu gerbang masuk aceh utara, tepatnya di Kota Panton Labu - Aceh. Namanya Mesjid Raya Pase. Dalam catatan sejarah aceh, Mesjid ini didirikan pada tahun 1972 atas prakarsa seorang tokoh masyarakat bernama Muhammad Anshari, sering disapa Harun Kumis. Dia berangkat ke Jakarta menemui presiden Sokarno dan meminta agar di wilayah bekas kerajaan SamudraPasai didirikan sebuah mesjid yang akan menjadi kebanggaan masyarakat setempat dan menjadi lambang sejarah kejayaan SamudraPasai.

Returning my trip from East Aceh to Lhokseumawe, I took the time to stop at the luxurious mosque to perform the Ashar Prayer while enjoying the beauty and splendor of Masjid Raya Pase. The mosque is square with three main doors. two side doors and one door in back. the three doors are of the same model.

Sepulang dari perjanan saya dari Aceh Timur ke Lhokseumawe, saya menyempatkan diri untuk singgah di mesjid mewah tersebut untuk melaksanakan salat ashar sekaligus menikmati keindahan dan kemegahan Mesjid Raya Pase.Mesjid ini berbentuk persegi dengan tiga pintu utama. dua pintu di samping dan satu pintu di belakang. ketiga pintu tersebut bermodel sama.

As for the front wall of the mosque is white and cream colored base is decorated with kaligraphy. A lavish and beautiful pulpit is in the middle, it is used for preacher's place on friday. This pulpit is made with wood choices so can survive tens or even hundreds of years. And a giant fan mounted on the pulpit, this can be a hallmark of the mosque itself.

Sedangkan untuk dinding depan mesjid yang berwarna dasar putih dan krem itu dihiasi dengan kaligraphy. Sebuah Mimbar mewah dan indah berada di tengah, ini digunakan untuk tempat khatib pada hari jumat. Mimbar ini dibuat dengan kayu pilihan sehingga bisa bertahan puluhan bahkan ratusan tahun. Dan Sebuah Kipas angin raksasa dipasang di atas mimbar, ini bisa menjadi ciri khas sendiri mesjid ini.

The door of this mosque is made of iron painted in gold. this makes this mosque look luxurious and elegant. At each front door of the mosque there is a terrace that has a width of about 15 m. This terrace is a place to rest the road users who stop at this mosque.

Pintu mesjid ini terbuat dari besi yang dicat dengan warna emas. ini membuat mesjid ini tampak mewah dan elegan. Di setiap depan pintu mesjid ada teras yang memiliki lebar sekitar 15 m. Teras inilah yang menjadi tempat istirahat para pengguna jalan yang singgah di mesjid ini.

For those of you who are Muslims if passing through this area, there is nothing wrong to stop and try to feel the peace at this Masjid Raya Pase.
