Day tripping: Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Next time an alpha hippie at a nude hot springs in Colorado tells you to go to an art show in Santa Fe, you might want to go. I'm glad I did. I went to Meow Wolf almost a week ago and it feels like a recent dream. It’s impossible to explain this art funhouse, which opened in 2016. 150 artists worked on it for over a year before it opened. Musicians play on a stage here. Meow Wolf explores portals: in this room there is an old school ice machine with a door, you step through the door and are in a trippy little mirrored room with sounds to try and lights. Windowpane, anyone?

this got blurred unfortunately. It's an alley in a city. Did I mention that this giant interactive K hole is housed inside a former bowling alley? I heard the guy who created Game of Thrones bankrolled Meow Wolf.

This is the robot that stands outside and says hello, goodbye. It was hard to leave.
