Visit with me!! 💙Big Basin California *Oldest trees in the world!!

Hello to all my Steemians !!

Visit with me!! Big Basin California

Ever wonder the where oldest trees are ?

@splendorhub How old.JPG

The age of a tree can be determined by counting the layers or rings. Each year a tree increases in size by adding a new layer of wood outside the old.

@splendorhub age of trees.jpg

...and into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.

The first and oldest state park in California, Big Basin offers magnificent views of giant redwood trees, mountains, streams, waterfalls and even sweeping ocean views.

@splendorhub #1.JPG

Here you will find some of the oldest trees on the planet! Scientist estimate that some may be as old as 1,000 to 2,000 years.

@splendorhub Tree #.JPG

With every changing season, the park offers a unique experience all year round.

@splendorhub cracked tree.JPG

The park boasts some amazing trails. Some of these trails are difficult and some are mere strolls in amazingly scenic areas of the park.

All I can say is that whether or not you are a nature lover or not you must go. My puppy loved it here 💙

Found this ball during a stroll. The woods are full of life and beauty.

@splendorhub Sitting on a root.JPG

There's nothing crazy about this seat...is just half of the root of a tree :D

@splendorhub all green.JPG

No matter where you look is all green with a magical fairy tale feel.

@splendorhub Stairway to waterfall.JPG

The perfect antidote to urban living.

@splendorhub Semperviews falls.JPG

Sempervirens Falls, one of many beautiful waterfalls.

@splendorhub me.JPG

Coast redwoods are the tallest trees in the world.

Trees with holes big enough for several persons to stay in. These holes were caused by fire from lightning strike but the tree is still alive

@splendorhub Standing Tall.JPG

In their stretch toward the sun, they can reach heights of over 375 feet. Redwoods dominate the forest.

This place is gorgeous with plenty to do such as hikes, camping, nature photographing and plenty to learn. Information is available at the visitors office.

If you live in California you definitely want to make sure you visit Big Basin at least once in your lifetime. This has made it to one of my favorite places I've visited.

Greetings, beautiful Miss Splendor

Many thanks for this tutorial about the park. I found it very beautiful. I imagine it must be a place of great peace and it seems that it is not a place of great visitation, because there were only you and your little dog in the photo.

I like nature very much and I saw that there, besides being in a peaceful environment, you can swim, run, walk and enjoy this walk in various ways.

I found the photo of your dog very nice. I have my shitzu dog named Miya and I do not live without her one day.

Thank you very much for the post. Good evening!!!!!

Thank you for your comment. This place is highly recommended by yours truly. 😊 oh my... my puppy’s name is Mika. 🙄 Best wishes to you !!

@splendorhub What made you decide to stop using voting bots? It is really sad you can't get a lot of votes on your decent posts without this. I have the same issue.

I really rather not use the bots, but just like everything there's pros and cons. Pros getting more views and potentially attract people who are interested in your blog. I have tons going on, and I also put plenty of time on my post. Cons, you need to use bots to get attraction :( lol I have been part of this community for some time and is easy to get lost in the mids of everything. Worst yet see all the non sense doing a lot better. But that's the way the cookie crumbles. I love Steemit and I'm here for the long run... Thank you :)

I do see that your posts are well created. I wish bots were acceptable to use here. Nice to hear your response I was curious. Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

Thank you :D

Wonderful post! I am from California, but live in Nebraska right now. Its super nice to see some green going on, glad you guys are getting some rain!! Beautiful photos!

Thank you ! Rain has been great <3 Best wishes to you.

Wow @splendorhub! What a great place to be one with nature. Those photos are all stunning too! Please be careful with the trees because they're so huge. Some branches might fall out =D

Wish I could say I will be careful...I'm such a daredevil lol. Thanx for visiting :D Best wishes!

This is a beautiful places. It has been alive for so long.
The Greens are so green. Also your photos are wondeful!
I’m glad glad you had fun.

Thank you @daltono Pictures are just not enough to truly capture the magic of this place. :D

I totally understand your pain. I was just at the rainforest a couple hours ago, and all of the pictures I took with my tiny camera were nothing like what I actually saw. It is better than not being able to share with people at all though.

Oh nooo, you need to share more of your trip! Lucky guy :D

I’m going to later tonight and tomorrow.

I'll be watching :)

That was really a great adventure!

@splendorhub I visited here about ten years ago. Its nice to see it again. Good photographs too! My favorite is you in the burned tree.

Lol...mine too ..can you believe that's only half of a redwoods root! Crazy!

Thats impressive! Did you see any banana slugs? That was the only "wildlife" I saw there.

You took some awesome photos Nora! Bet your little pooch had a great time in the woods!

Thank you @corina for visiting! My pooch loves to explore she's a trooper lol. Best wishes to you.

What an awesome journey you took me on. Thank you @splendorhub!!

Love redwoods. Love your dog. I used to climb trees. I'm from Oregon and have been through California. Worked at camps around the redwood forests. The dating method for dating the age of a tree based from the tree rings are based mostly on the assumption that each ring represents just 12 months but how much a tree grows may depend on how much water the tree gets for example meaning one ring every 12 months or 7 months or maybe 24 months or it is hard to say because it depends on these other variables.

But I do get the estimate that these trees are probably pretty old like you say in this post and I do love that. I love history. Love learning about those things. Love your photos.

Thank you! I had a tree-house growing up and since then I have a need to climb things. Thanx for visiting ;)

I like nature and i found this post more interesting that other one i read before.
The oldest tree in the world lives in California, but know you it has over 4000 years?
.....Maybe you walk around.
Experts do not say which one is to avoid people who can make some damage to the tree (already has happened and trees that suffered damage don't exist anymore).

P.D. Who take the photos where you appear?
I'm not sure your puppy has the skills for that.

Yes! Lucky for that park is all protected :) Thank you for visiting. Hope you're enjoying Steemit!

Mind boggling the age of those trees.

I agree! :)

Hi splendorhub, this is a very good made post, I would like to visit that place, although I live in Venezuela where we have wonderful places too , I congratulate you, and I thank you for teaching me how to do a good post, because I don't have very much experience about this.
